\nAs a married person, you can divide property during an ongoing marriage or when the marriage ends due to death or divorce.

Your assets are divided equally after deducting debts. Everything is valued and included such as housing, household goods, car, holiday home, money in account and pension savings. Assets whose value changes over time, such as a property, are valued as closely as possible to the division of property. Individual property included in prenuptial agreements, testements or deed of gift is not included in the division of property. How you distribute the assets practically after this is up to you.
\nIn the event of death where you only have common children and there is no testament, no division of property is required. In this case, the survivor inherits the deceased's share of the estate\n<\/p>\n\n\n

Estate inventory proceeding as cohabitants
\nAs cohabitants, property is divided if one of you requests this upon separation or at the latest one year after a cohabitation relationship ends due to separation. In the event of death, a request for estate division must be made at the time of the probate procedure at the latest. The value of the home and fixtures that you bought for joint use, after settlement for debts, is then shared equally. . The division of property does not include holiday homes and other property that each of you bought and that is not your home or part of your joint household.
